We’re a Great Way to team for a cure:

Join Team ProActive’s
“Celebration of Life and Movement”

Over the last three years, Team ProActive has contributed over $30,000 for breast cancer research. The support was amazing and everyone contributed to the effort.  We have 2 Great Ways to team for a cure:

Every contribution to Dr. Laura Esserman’s “Early Detection Research” goes directly to research.  Team Proactive welcomes the opportunity to match the first $1000 contribution.
Send us your check written to “UCSF Early Detection Research”.

Why do we do this?
Our walking together shouts our message that we’ve regained our freedom of movement, peace of mind, and life.  We choose movement to live, to give, and to be free.

Julie’s Story

Julie was treated for breast cancer in 2003 and found the Race invaluable in her research.  Her recovery exposed a vacuum of protocol and method in the physical rehabilitation from her disease. Her background as an Orthopedic Specialist provided a foundation for research and practice in post BC surgery rehab. Her research and quest for finding solutions to problems associated with breast cancer surgery have led to important discoveries in physical therapy treatments that have proven invaluable to patients. Surviving breast cancer gave her a unique opportunity her patients can reap.   Through the work of Dr. Esserman and others, her early detection provided the opportunity to share her success. Julie chose life and movement and invites you to join the team!

You can view coverage of the last three year’s events, the ABC7news videos, and Ming Pao newspaper article at www.juliewongpt.com

With your support, we CAN make a difference in choosing life and movement!
